The the client's request was for a prayer kneeler (also known as a prei dieu) that would break with traditional boxy designs and be more open and sculptural in appearance. The result was this unique, outside the box, aesthetically pleasing creation. The upholstered cushion can be removed revealing a secret storage box beneath it. Someone has commented that this kneeler would look good on the Starship Interprise. I think Captain Picard would be delighted. With all his wisdom, he must be a man of prayer.
