This classically styled four poster bed features walnut posts with hand shaped finials and cabriole feet. The visually interesting raised panels in the head and footboards are spalted pecan. Spalting (the wiggly black lines & unusual coloration) is the work of micro-organisms that become active in a tree after it has died. The resulting lumber is rare and highly prized by contemporary furnituremakers.
