The materials in this little piece, solid Macassar ebony and curly
bubinga are rich, heavy, lustrous woods. The bench's legs were
turned on the lathe and then split in two, making them round on
one side and flat on the other. The lower stretcher pierces the end
panels and is then held in place with wedges made of bloodwood.
This piece could also serve as a lovely coffee table.
